Tamura’s Market will open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:15 to 8 a.m. for seniors (age 60 and older) and an accompanying family member or caregiver. This will start Friday and continue through March 30.Whole Foods Market stores will open for seniors 60 and older one hour before opening.

In an effort to help keep our elder community and customers with vulnerable immune systems protected, starting Friday, March 20^th we will be reserving dedicated shopping times EVERYDAY for this population of the community. We will reserve the FIRST HOUR of store opening for stores that open at 6:00 am. We will reserve the FIRST TWO HOURS of store opening for stores that open at 5:00 am. Special Shopping Days and Times for Seniors

In efforts to create a safe environment for our kupuna to grocery shop, we will set aside the first hour of business on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to serve only seniors (age 60 yrs. and above) and an accompanying caregiver or assisting family member at all stores statewide. In addition, seniors will be offered our “Senior Thursday” 5% discount on these days and times. The special shopping days/times and accompanying discount for seniors will start this Thursday, March 19, and will continue until further notice. “We know that many of our seniors are concerned about their health and safety during this current crisis, and we want to provide them an opportunity to shop with us in a less-crowded environment,” said Jenai S. Kupuna Hour

We are happy to help ease the burden of those most at risk in the community. All branches offer Kupuna Hour during the first hour of each day, Monday through Friday, for seniors (ages 60 and up) and at-risk individuals, along with an accompanying caregiver or family member, as needed.

Effective April 15, Kūpuna hours will begin 1-hour earlier, Monday through Friday, starting at 8 am.
