  • Dance: Movement Education. Pre k-1st Grade. Lesson 1. Listening Soldier
    This is an activity that can be done at home during the corona virus lock-down. It is one of a series of activities that I am putting on the physical education web-page. It can be used for physical, a stress release, bonding, and family fun.It is 1:38 long and can be played as often as you would like. Though it was intended for pre-K to 1st grade, it is fun for everyone. Please be safe and enjoy the activities. The skills involved are as follows:
    Listening, following instructions, acting out the movement of the character in the song.
    Marching: Body tall with good posture.
    Stepping Forward: Step forward with right foot and Lett arm swinging forward.
    Stepping Forward: Step forward with left foot and right arm swing forward.
    Marching in a circle and staying in pace with the music.

    Recommendation: Listen to the song a few times and write down the movements.
    Go over the movements several time for trying to do the movements with the song. This will help with success and will make the activity more fun.

    This is an activity that can be done at home during the corona Virus lock-down. It can be done with one person or more. It is one of a series of activities that I am putting on the Physical Education web-page. It can be used for physical education, a stress release, bonding, and family fun. It is 2:22 long and can be played as often as you would like. Though it is intended for Pre-k-1st grade, it is fun for everyone.The skills involved are as follows:
    Listening, following instructions, acting out the movement of the character in the song. Big, slow, heavy, long trunk swinging.

    Recommendation: Listen to the song several times and go over the movements involved before attempting to them to the song. It will help with success and make it more fun.

It is 1:31 long and can be played as often as you would like. Though it was intended for Pre k to 1st grade, it is fun for everyone. The skills involved are as follows:

    Listening, following instructions, acting out the movement of the character in the song.

    Two feet hopping: keep both feet and knees together during the hopping portion of the song.
    Ears: Fingers on head for ears.
    nose: Twitching nose like a bunny.

    Recommendation: Listen to the song several times and go over the movements before trying them to the music. It will help with success and make it more fun.

    This is an activity that can be done at home during the Corona Virus lock-down. It can be done with one person or more. It is one of a series of activities that I am putting on the Physical Education Web-Page. It can be used for physical education, a stress release, bonding and family fun. It is 1:41 long and can be played as often as you would like. Though it is intended for Pre K-1st grade, it is fun for everyone. The skills involved are as follows:
    Listening, following instructions, acting out the movement of the character in the song and
    moving at different speeds.
    Walk: High knee stepping with a pause between each step, body tall and proud.
    Trot: Galloping (step forward with one leg and bring the back leg forward to meet the front heel of the foot.
    Run: Galloping Fast.

    Recommendation: Listen to the music a few time before attempting to perform it.
