High School Student Resumes:
By Chegg Internships

It's never too soon to start building your career, and the best way to do that is by building a great resume. If you're a high school student looking to prepare for college, your first internship, or a part-time job, you want to highlight what sets you apart.
Here are a few tips and tricks to get you started:
Make an impression fast by keeping your resume short and highlighting your most impressive and relevant accomplishments first.
Proofread carefully and get a second set of eyes on your resume. Ask a teacher or family member to do a final edit.
Focus on the numbers and the actions. By quantifying your accomplishments and using action verbs, you’ll provide hard evidence of your ability to make an impact.
You don’t need to include everything. Your resume should emphasize your relevant accomplishments and skills for a particular job; it’s not your autobiography.
Organize your resume chronologically. There are lots of possibilities in terms of formatting your resume, but reverse chronological is the most popular for a reason—it’s clear and to the point.
Remember that the example below is meant as a guide only. Your resume needs to reflect YOUR value-add for the specific school or role to which you are applying. Use a format that speaks to you, and include your unique academic and other achievements!
JOB FAIR TIPS FOR SUCCESS:
First impressions count! Please dress in business professional attire.
Have your resume up-to-date and bring multiple copies. We do have a Online Hub available at each fair for those job seekers who do not have access to computers elsewhere, provided courtesy of Hawaiian Host.
Do your research ahead of time about the companies you’re interested in and the positions they have open online. If you’ve already applied to a position online, introducing yourself to the recruiters at WorkForce is a really good next step to make yourself stand out from the rest of the candidates.
Bring a great attitude!
