Contra Costa Health (CCH) is committed to everyone in need of and who are eligible for our services, regardless of immigration status. CCH strives for health equity, inclusiveness and fairness.
In 2017 our state enacted the California Values Act, limiting the involvement of state and local law enforcement agencies in federal immigration enforcement. The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors, in partnership with the philanthropic community, funded Stand Together Contra Costa.
Stand Together Contra Costa provides rapid-response deportation defense services, a 24-hour hotline, and training and education for families in need of immediate immigration legal assistance. This effort is a joint commitment from the public and private sectors to work in partnership with the community to ensure that Contra Costa is a welcoming, inclusive place where everyone has access to due process and the opportunity to thrive.
Contra Costa Health's policies prohibit the release of any confidential patient information including names, addresses or any other identifying information, including to federal agents. We are mandated by HIPPA and privacy laws to keep this information confidential. We continue to care for our patients and we will do everything that is legally possible to ensure their safety.
