This course will provide its students a basic overview of dance. Students will study ballet, hip-hop, and jazz at the beginning level. Dance I will emphasize expressive movement, promote healthy bodies, and will help students develop self-discipline.

This course stresses leadership, citizenship, sea power, history, health science, oceanography, and maritime customs and skills. Extra-curricular activities include marksmanship programs, exhibition marching drill teams, ceremonial color guard, and other sports and social activities. Most expenses associated with activities and field trips are taken care of by the Navy, the school, or ROTC fund-raising activities.
