Dear Parent / Carer
As we approach the end of this half term, it’s been fantastic to see how positively our Year 11 and Year 13 students have started their examinations. Their hard work, focus, and determination have been really encouraging, and we urge them to keep going with a final, big push on revision as they head into the final stretch. Every bit of effort counts at this crucial time.
Beyond the classroom, it’s also been wonderful to see so many students actively engaging in extracurricular opportunities. From representing the school in sporting events, taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award activities, to enjoying an evening at A Night at the Musicals, the enthusiasm and involvement from students across all year groups has been a real highlight of the term.
A polite reminder to all parents and carers that blazers are a compulsory part of the school uniform, while school jumpers remain optional. Students must arrive at school wearing their blazer each day. Naturally, should the weather become particularly warm, we will advise students when it’s appropriate to remove them during the school day.
On the topic of warmer weather, please ensure that your child brings a refillable water bottle to school. There are several water stations available for students to refill their bottles at break and lunchtime, and it’s important they stay hydrated throughout the day, especially during the exam period and in higher temperatures.
Finally, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a restful and enjoyable half term break. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming students back for the final part of the academic year.
Warmest regards
Chris Price
