See You at the Pole was inspired by students in a youth group in Burleson, Texas who went to several different schools to pray during a weekend retreat. In 1991, the movement started to grow globally. It’s now an annual national event that takes place on the 4th Wednesday of September. Students gather together around their schools flagpole to pray for their friends, neighbors, school, and nation.
Every year our school participates in See You at the Pole. This year it was held in the gym at 7:45 a.m. Students were invited to pray, worship, and encounter God with their school family. So many brave kids stepped up and prayed in front of the student body, including Luke Galey, Emma Kruse, Caroline Mathias, Emile Van Haelen, and Louis Thuer. New and old members of the worship team played beautifully for their peers to start off a great morning. The school also provided donuts as an added bonus!

They get to open up and make a wholesome connection through prayer and worship. Most students will remember this morning as they look back on their high school experience. It’s an amazing way to kick off the school year and to relieve some of the stress it brings.
Why would you encourage students to come to See You at the Pole next year?
( Teacher)
"Well it is a national student led movement, but also it's about Jesus. I encourage anybody to get to know Jesus. So, when it's about Jesus, you should be there."
What was your favorite part of See You at the Pole?
(10th grader)
"My favorite part of See You at the Pole was the willingness of people who showed up and the way they encouraged students not to be afraid to share the gospel with people."
