Spirit Club
Small But Mighty, Loud and proud!
As a small school, Curtis students have to step up and show their school spirit. Spirit Club is the perfect way to do this. This organization is a fun and exciting club sponsored by Mrs. Bennett. Members of the Spirit Club decide on themes for student sections, make banners and signs, design state bags, and plan fun events and fundraisers for the school. Anyone interested in joining Spirit Club or becoming more involved should attend one of the lunchtime meetings. It is a fantastic way to show school spirit for John Curtis. Meetings are held on Mondays during first lunch in room J-3 and second lunch in room H-14.
Film team
Capturing the Highlights
Being a member of the film team involves recording sports games so that our athletes and coaches can watch film to better themselves. Coach Richie Englander leads the film team as they accomplish many tasks. They continuously film the football games, so the players can rewatch their plays. This helps the players learn from their mistakes and improve for the next football game. Film team members include Kyra Joseph, Merrin Simmons, Olivia Hunter, Kambrie Dickerson, Logan Kopecky, and Josh Seguers. If interested in joining, no requirements are necessary except for fulfilling time commitments.
