BOO! What is Halloween without some spooky fun? This Halloween, JCCS took part in many different fall festivities. At JCCS opportunities are provided to have engaging learning techniques, fruitful fellowship, and campus-life involvement. From spooky STEM to crazy costumes, the fall season is a great time for students to get involved!
Spooky STEM Day 2024
Each year the JCCS Science Department provides students with kinesthetic learning opportunities on Halloween Day. This year the department stepped up its game. Teachers put in extra effort and took time of their own to prepare an exciting, STEM themed day for all 7th-12th grade students. Each Science class started with an activity that corresponded with class content. Then, students were given the freedom to choose two additional activities. At every lab, students wrote down a key question in correlation with their experiment. After an experiment was completed, students acquired new knowledge to effectively answer the activity’s key question.

Trunk-or-Treat:
During the fall season, the John Curtis Lower School hosts the annual Trunk-or-Treat. JC families, Interact Club, Colonial Regiment and volunteers all contribute to put together friendly fellowship opportunities. Trunk-or-Treat allows students to trick or treat, play games, and make connections at each car. This year John Curtis had a great turnout and can't wait until next year!
