On November 20, 2024, the JCCS Key Club hosted their semi-annual blood drive for Ochsner. Ochsner sent staff and equipment to the school for the day. The John Curtis Key Club volunteered to organize and work the event. Students who were seventeen and older, as well as faculty and staff were allowed to donate. The donated blood went to Ochsner to help people in need. The donors were rewarded with an Ochsner Blood Bank t-shirt, cookies, some juice, and the ability to help save a life.
