The National Honor Society is a privilege for Honors students who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have kept a good behavior with no disciplinary reports. These students are involved in one or more extracurricular activities and actively participate in helping their community. NHS is an invite only organization, and students cannot ask to be a member. Students are picked by John Curtis’ counselors and faculty, who look for NHS's main qualities which are character, service, leadership, and scholarship in students. Students in the NHS are expected to keep these expectations all throughout high school and can be removed at any time if they no longer meet these standards.
