Learning Targets: This week will continue to learn about our unit "Living Systems." We will start to understand the systems in our body starting with the nervous system. 

Assessment: Nothing

Learning Targets: This week we will discuss Manifest Destiny. How did the United STates gain the land that is currently part of the country?

Project: Thursday: 

Reading/Writing:  This week, we will begin reading Bud, Not Buddy, another historical fiction book by Christopher Paul Curtis. This book takes place during the Great Depression, and I look forward to learning more about this time period and the characters in the story with students.

Homework:  

• Super Sentences for taste and devoured by Tuesday (if incomplete) 

• Vocab review (complete by Thursday)

Assessment: 

• In-class written responses may be assessed

• Vocab/spelling quiz on Thursday

Band: Now that we are done with our concert, we will be able to spend more time on new notes, new techniques, and new music!

Full Band on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday this week! No instruments on Thursday.

Homework: Fourth round of practice records of the third trimester due Monday, March 30 

(Just a reminder that for the practice record titled "week of 3/16/2026," students will be able to record a free 30 minutes of practice from Thursday's concert! They still need their parents to sign their practice record to receive credit!)
