April 2: Spring Break!!
What we're learning & doing in class: This week we will be continuing our unit of "The Sermon on the mount." We will continue to learn about Jesus' teachings and apply them to our life.

Learning Targets: This week will continue to learn about our unit "Living Systems." We will start to understand the systems in our body starting with the nervous system, circulatory system, and respiratory system.

Learning Targets: This week we will discuss the causes of the Civil War. What issues divided the North and the South?
Project: Thursday:
Reading/Writing: This week, we will continue to read Bud, Not Buddy, another historical fiction book by Christopher Paul Curtis. Bud, the main character, is on the run from his foster home and encounters kind and unexpected strangers throughout his travels. This book takes place during the Great Depression, and I look forward to learning more about this time period and the characters in the story with the students.

Band: Full Band all week next week
Extra Credit: Band Break Bingo! For Spring Break we will be doing bingo sheets again! Turn in a bingo with parent signature to not only get gummy worms or a cool music sticker of your choice, but it will also count as one practice record worth of extra credit! If you get two or more bingos, that is worth two practice records worth of extra credit.
