Jeffco Graduation Requirements
Here is the link to review what 'credits' you are expected to have in order to graduate from a Jeffco Public School.
The HEAR requirements are for students who wish to attend a University or 4-year College.
The subjects are also great titles for your subheadings in your ELL! This language is universal among all schools.
Senior Capstone Requirement
Students are expected to complete a Senior Capstone. This needs to demonstrate exceptional knowledge and understanding in both English and Mathematics. The ways to demonstrate this are:
Complete an exceptional Global Awareness Passage for the English component and a math-filled Logical Inquiry Passage for the Mathematics Component.
Do extra work and complete projects specifically for the Capstone that are outside your Passage work (if you want too but why would you not get Passage credit?)
*It should be noted that this district requirement is not extra work for JCOS students, because we already do them! They are called Passages, but you should understand the language.
The Graduation Expectations are aligned with the philosophy at the Open School and with the Jeffco HEAR requirements. Be sure to keep track of your progress for each expectation.

What is it?
The Walkabout Portfolio is a tale as old as time. Graduates since the origin of our school have been documenting their progress in binders, highlighting strengths, interests and learning experiences. Up until this point, it has always been a 3" 3-Ring binder that usually started to tear by your graduating year. That is so 50 years ago! Students now have access to an online version of the portfolio!

Evaluations with feedback from the facilitator of the learning experience
Passage Proposals and Wrap-Ups
