College can be expensive, but financial aid is widely available! There are two things students should do to receive money to pay for college:
1). Fill out either the FAFSA or CA Dream Act application, depending on your family's residency status. ALL students should complete a financial aid application between October 1st and March 2nd of their SENIOR year.
2). Apply for scholarships! Students should do their own research to see which scholarships they are eligible for and when the deadlines are. Applying for scholarships typically requires students to submit an essay and/or letters of recommendation, and this mainly happens during their senior year.
