School News and Important Information
Field trip/Field Day shirts are now available for purchase! Shirts must be ordered by August 15th.

To make sure children have access to food at home during the weekend, iServe Ministries has partnered with Heroes Elementary and is offering to send food home on the last day of the week (usually Friday, adjusted for school breaks/holidays) in a book bag at NO COST to you. Younger students may need assistance getting off the bus on those days.
By signing up, you agree to return iServe Ministries’ empty backpack each Monday. If the backpack isn’t returned, food will not be provided that week.
HES students can earn a FREE ticket to the Athens Rock Lobsters hockey game—just by reading! Log 1,000 minutes before December 17, 2025 to receive a ticket.

We are building a community of readers at HES, through our school-wide book, We're all Wonders, by R.J. Palacio. It is important to recognize how each one of us is special in our own way.
