Lost & Found
Our lost and found is accessible to all students during the school day. If your child is missing any clothing items or water bottles, please encourage them to check the lost and found. All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday, November 15.
Attendance
Thank you for making attendance a priority! Please remember that our district attendance policy allows for 5 days of excused absences with parent notes. We are happy to help with any questions you may have. Please feel free to reach out.

School News and Important Information
Our Veterans Day Celebration is coming up this Monday, November 11, and we wanted to share a few important details with you.
The event will begin promptly at 8:30 AM, and we are excited to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans alongside our students. For those who have RSVP'd, please note that all visitors should park in the back of the school and enter through the back doors. Please refrain from student checkouts after the ceremony.
We look forward to honoring this day with our students and community.
HES is excited to host our first Thanksgiving Luncheon with our families! Join us over three days—November 19, 20, and 21!
Families, please remember to park in the back and enter through the back doors. Check the chart above for your student’s dining day and time, and plan to arrive 10 minutes early for a smooth check-in.

We’re thrilled to announce our very first Science Olympiad team! This exciting program invites 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to dive into the wonders of science through teamwork, hands-on experiments, and exhilarating competitions! Practices are every Thursday from 2:45 to 3:45 PM. If your student is eager to explore the world of science, please complete this form!
The Jackson County School System is once again teaming up with the Atlanta Hawks to host a JCSS Night on Saturday, January 25 as the Hawks host the Toronto Raptors! Plan ahead and help make a Thanksgiving meal possible for a family within our Jackson County community! The Jackson County School System is once again sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive. We are looking for donations of the following items to help feed a family of four this Thanksgiving. Donations will be accepted on Friday, Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Empower College and Career Center Gymnasium!
