Basic Skills Development is a multidisciplinary course that provides students continuing opportunities to develop basic skills including: (1) reading, (2) writing, (3) listening, (4) speaking, (5) mathematical computation, (6) note taking, (7) study and organizational skills, and (8) problem-solving skills, which are essential for high school course work achievement.

Peer tutoring

MD13 (State Course Number: 0520)

Peer Tutoring provides high school students with an organized exploratory experience to assist students in special needs classes from grade nine-twelve (9-12), through a helping relationship, with their studies and personal growth

College Online

MD21-24 (State Course Number: None)

Several colleges offer online college credit courses to high school students. Students will have this time to work in the IMC area on these courses. Not all courses are dual credited. Some colleges will bill the student for the fees charged for these on-line courses. Ivy Tech will bill the high school and the students will receive the on-line bill through the school. Students will be in charge of getting and paying for any materials or books needed.
