Everyone needs a little help sometimes! Ivy Tech has lots of great services and resources on our campuses to support you in many ways when it comes to your academic life, but did you know that Ivy Tech also has a department that is here to help you when you just need a little assistance in your personal life? We call this department IvyCares! Staff who work in this area can connect you with campus or community resources to assist you with transportation, food insecurity, emergency funds, and mental health. Ivy Tech has launched a new webpage to connect you with our campus staff and resources: www.ivytech.edu/ivycares
Speaking of transportation, did you know Ivy Tech is currently piloting a partnership with Uber to assist those of you who are experiencing transportation barriers? To ensure you persist in your educational pursuits, the College has entered into a partnership with Uber to help you with your transportation needs to get you to and from campus when no other option is available. Contact your IvyCares staff to learn more about this partnership!
Also, maybe you need some assistance, but don’t have time to visit with a staff person on campus. Or maybe it’s the weekend and you are unsure of how to get assistance. We have a solution to help you! We have a great resource called IvyAssist that we use to connect you with community resources that can help you in a time of need. To learn more about resources available in your community, visit IvyCares webpage and click the IvyAssist link.
