The goal of IUFW campus health is to support students' overall well-being by providing health services that are easy to access, private, and helpful. One of the main challenges they face is making sure students know about the counseling and psychological services (CAPS). Available to them, both online and off-campus. Our goal is to help more students take advantage of the services by raising awareness through various communication methods. To do this, we can use tools like social media., email, and campus partnerships to inform students about the CAPS resources and show them how to access them from anywhere.
To raise awareness of CAPS services, the strategy should use different ways to communicate with. It’s important to keep in mind that other mental health services could also influence students' choices. As mentioned in Berkowitz textbook “These new entrants are significant factors that must also be accounted for and recognized either as competitors or as possible components of a healthcare consideration in the service mix offering to their own customer segments in order to be competitive. Channels can be controlled and influenced by a variety of alternative strategies, depending on the respective power of any entity in the channel.” These new services might compete with.CAPS or become part of the options students consider. Therefore, IUFW needs to stay aware of these services and find ways to make.CAPS stand out. By using email newsletters, social media posts, and on campus events, Indiana University Fort Wayne can reach students both online and in person, making sure CAPS is seen as a trusted and valuable option compared to other available healthcare services.
Increase awareness of CAPS Among IUFW students by 20% within the next six months through on campus communication efforts.
increase engagement of caps related social media posts by 30% over the next three months.
increase the number of students utilizing CAPS services by 15% over the next six months.
I would use a combination of on-campus events, posters, and peer engagement to spread the word about CAPS services.
use social media to create fun and informative post that encourage students to learn about and use the services
promote the way students can get a thoroughly clear information and simplify the process to schedule appointments
-Tactic: host monthly informational tables on campus, where CAPS representatives can answer questions and give information to students.
-Tactic: create and place posters and flyers in popular areas around campus like library, student union, dining hall, highlighting CAPS services, and contact information.
-Tactic: I would create weekly posts on Instagram and TikTok doing mental health tips, and information about the services, encouraging students to share and comment.
-Tactic: I would also try and run a student focused mental health awareness campaign on social media, where students can participate in interactive poles, Q&A sessions, and share their mental health tips.
-update the website to include information on how students can access online and off-line campus, including a guide to schedule appointments through a friendly system.
-Tactic: distribute, digital, and physical flyers on campus with step-by-step instructions on how to contact and book appointments.
