I have lots of support material, click on one of the buttons below and see what is available. If it does not meet your needs, then let me know. I am here to SUPPORT YOU. *Remember you must be logged in with your ISZL account to view the videos*
Below is support for some of the techie things you need to set up at the start of the year. As aways, please reach out if you need anything else.
Please ensure that you are in the HS Staff Group Chat. We use this for time sensitive requests and communications
GMAIL
This short video includes:
Layout of Gmail
Undo Send options
Signature (you all should have an ISZL style signature)
Adding Calendars
You will need:
High School - Staff internal
High School Calendar (see new support material here)
Google Contacts
Making a list/contact group
Our Virtual Learning Environment is where you will add materials, updates and grades
Adding your Gradebook from a template or from your archive
Adding your IB & AP Gradebooks - with no template
Linking courses (video opposite)
If you are teaching more than one course you can link courses.
Great as you can add to one course and it copies to all course
Disadvantage you need to keep an eye on who you are sending updates and assignments to.
Notifications turning them on and off
Overview on:
Re-ordering your courses
Using Archived Material (0.40)
Course Functions (1:15)
You should be in the following 2 groups
Faculty - High School : A place to share good practice
HS Library: You can access all the Library resources and databases from here
Our Student Management System. Predominately you will use this to register pupils, produce reports and search for student details
Adding your Calendar from iSams to Google Calendar
It is faster to set up. A couple of clicks and done!
However, if anything is incorrect you will need to delete EACH event individually
To change the colour of events, you need to add a script
You can not delete one class (for example, when the grade 12's leave) as they are not linked.
******Keep your eyes peeled for a new (possibly improved) system here, if you like the automated approach
