3a. Practice Criterion D (Tides)

One of the final assessments for this unit will be a Criterion D Task, focused on writing about the effects of science.  To prepare for that, we will practice writing and assessing Criterion D work.  For your practice assessment, you will be writing about technology that is used to turn lunar gravity into usable electricity on Earth: tidal power.

Your Criterion D Formative Assessment is to write a researched study on the following question: Do you think that tidal power has the potential to significantly change where people get their electricity from?  Support your argument with evidence.  Begin by reviewing the slides below.
