A transition is when something changes from one thing to another.
Transitions happen every day. They can be small, like moving from playtime to lesson time, or big, like starting a new school year or moving to a new house.
Sometimes transitions feel exciting, and sometimes they feel a little scary. It is normal to have lots of different feelings when things change.
Maybe you:
Moved to a new class
Learned a new skill
Made a new friend
Joined a new ccca
Started a new routine
These are all examples of transitions! Every transition is a chance to learn, grow, and discover new things about yourself. 🌟
Think of a transition like crossing a bridge.
On one side is something familiar that you know well.
On the other side is something new that you are still learning about.
Sometimes crossing the bridge feels exciting. Sometimes it feels uncertain. But with support, courage, and time, you can make it across and continue growing. 🌱
When change feels difficult:
Talk to someone you trust
Take deep breaths
Focus on one step at a time
Remember a time you handled change before!
