Professional background: Mary holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Athens University of Economics & Business and a diploma in Public Relations and Crisis Management. Her career spans both in the public and private sectors in Greece, where she worked in administration, marketing, and public relations. She has proudly volunteered for various projects, including providing marketing support for the non-profit organization FOCUS-info for expats in London in 2005. Additionally, co-founded and served as president of Grec Pour Tous, a non-profit association dedicated to Greek language education in Lausanne, established in 2017.
Personal background: Mary was born and raised in a green suburb of Athens, Greece. After completing her studies, she spent a year in London supporting her husband’s career endeavors. She then returned back to Athens before moving to beautiful Switzerland in 2010 where she expanded her family. Mary has two children, a girl in year 13/premier of BF and a boy in year 10 of IB, who joined ISL last year. Enthusiastic about meeting and collaborating with a multinational team, she joined the PTA this year.
Language spoken: Greek, English and French
Swiss favourites: Mary has a deep appreciation for the Lavaux vineyard area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as the Verbier ski resort. She cherishes the Swiss warm baths and the beautiful clean nature. Switzerland's high living standards, commitment to democracy, and the opportunity to connect with people from around the globe are particularly special to her.
