Gymnastics

During the Gymnastics unit, students are expected to work on four main areas:

  • Tumbling
  • Balances & Supports
  • Vaulting (springing & landing)
  • Ropes (swinging & climbing).

Balance, coordination, strength and spatial awareness and the predominant physical skills are focused on throughout this unit. Students learn body management skills while static, moving and inverted. Students are assessed according to a specific Grade Level Gymnastics Checklist.
