Mr. Tim Howe, Drama Site Director
We have eagerly awaited your arrival! Over the next three days we will have the opportunity to see how ensembles, technicians, designers, and artists have nurtured artistic concepts from seedlings to fully-grown performances. As theatre-makers we understand and appreciate the time and care that goes into the artistic process. Throughout Cultural Convention’s 35 year history, directors, actors, dancers, choreographers, technicians, artists and designers have left the convention energized. This energy is fed by each participant's generosity on stage, openness as audience members and commitment in the workshop and collaborative setting.
Over the course of the weekend, drama delegates will have the opportunity to apply their personal histories, passions and viewpoints to a range of arts activities. Under the leadership of Michael Leibenluft and Mark Charney, we hope that this weekend’s drama program “threads” together themes which are relevant to your artistic process. It is this experience, which we hope will support each participant’s growth as theatre-makers and make this year’s CC a memorable one!
