First Week of School Information for August 2023

The first day of school for the academic year 2023-2024 is Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. School will commence at 8:30  and conclude at approximately 15:00. 

Normal School Timings: The normal school timings for the rest of the week will be from 8:30  to 15:10, except for specific days when Diploma Programme classes will run until 16:30.

High School Retreats During the First Week of School 

To ensure a smooth start to the school year and foster stronger bonds among students and teachers, the high school staff at the City campus has organized a series of activities and experiences during the first week of school. These activities are designed to provide insights into the milestones of the high school program and create a welcoming environment for all students.

During the first week of school, Diploma Programme students will have an overnight retreat at Danhostel, Ishøj Strand. The retreat will take place on Wednesday, August 16th, and Thursday, August 17th. Students are required to come prepared and should bring their own lunch for the day. Departure to the retreat will be directly after school on Tuesday. 

MYP 5 students will also have an overnight retreat on Thursday, August 17th. The retreat will last for one night, and students will depart directly after school on Wednesday. It is important for students to bring their own lunch for the day.

 It is essential to read the information carefully and complete the behavior agreement form enclosed. Remember to bring the signed form to school on Tuesday, August 15th.
