Audrey has been in education since 2009. She graduated from the University of MN, Morris with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and a licensure in 5-12 Communications, Arts, and Literature. Her first role as a teacher was middle school English and Gifted and Talented coordinator in Holdingford, MN. In 2013, she graduated from Saint Cloud State University with a Masters of Science degree in English. Through the years she also taught American Literature and College Composition and Literature courses. She was also in charge of student writing, social media, and web development for the Minnesota Council of Teachers of English and helped host the 2015 NCTE Conference. In 2015, she transitioned to technology coach/media specialists for the Holdingford School District and joined MidMn EDU, which hosts free conferences for teachers each summer and a student-led conference each winter.
In 2016, Audrey joined the Sauk Rapids-Rice family as a Technology Integration Instructional Coach. Her passions as a coach are the same as her passions as a teacher: teaching writing, instilling a love of reading, personalizing the learning experience for all students, bringing out students’ curiosity, increasing engagement, and project-based learning. Audrey loves collaborating with teachers to create engaging, personalized lessons and units as well as getting a chance to work with students. This past spring Audrey helped host the Minnesota Distance Learning Summit and led a presentation on Avoiding Disengagement and Burnout, and she also joined the OnEducation team as a blogger. When Audrey isn’t at school, she enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, listening to Hamilton: An American Musical, spending time with her two young kids (ages 3 & 4), learning about website design from her husband, and walking her dog Gatsby. Reach out anytime to meet and collaborate with Audrey.
