Introduction to Technical College and Trade Associations
Technical colleges allow students to learn a specific trade or occupation. Technical colleges do not require students to take general education classes, the classes are focused on the skills needed within the specific trade.
Requirements:
No ACT required, placement tests may be.
Degree to enter workforce, very few are transferable.
Deadline: ASAP- rolling admissions, but apply ASAP certain programs fill quickly.
Many industries require industry certifications, and trade schools prepare students with the necessary skills and knowledge to sit for the certification exams.
Typically, these programs are shorter than community college programs. A huge benefit of these programs is students are able to enter the workforce after completing the program.
