Another important aspect for high school students is experience. After all, students may not know if they enjoy a job, without having some type of experience. Parents and guardians should encourage their student(s) to begin exploring opportunities for experience throughout high school, beginning in 9th grade. In addition to helping students prepare for a career, the experience can also boost their resume, help with career applications, and allow students to learn more about themselves.
Below are ways to gain experience. Click on each opportunity to learn more! This is not an all-inclusive list, there are other ways students can gain experience.
Miss Sears is happy to help you setup these opportunities! Please send her an email (esears@isd.org), if interested.
