The district expresses and promotes an explicit purpose in providing equitable educational services to the community. The district develops and implements policies and procedures that embody a multi-layered, equity-centered systemic approach to honoring multiple identities and instilling a sense of agency and belonging for all members of the school community.

In order to ensure that each learner is future ready and community strong, District 191’s multi-tiered systems approach will provide equitable access to curriculum and support for positive social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes. We recognize the family, as defined by each culture, is a primary system of support in the education of children. We use these unique and diverse perspectives to enhance the overall growth, development, and experience of all and build everyone's capacity to pursue excellence.
