Academic Support

Association of Fellows, Scholars, Trainees, and Residents of IRRI (AFSTRI) organizes a range of activities which includes academic support in terms of scholarships and workshops.

The IRRI-AFSTRI Alumni Scholarship (IAAS) provides one-time funding assistance to undergraduate ($ 600) and master’s students ($ 1000) who are in their final year, and working on rice or rice-related research for completion of their thesis. The goal of the scholarship is to promote rice science and research among young agricultural students.
