AFSTRI ACTIVITIES

AFSTRI conducts series of activities across a wider domain of interests to meet its objectives. These activities are conducted on monthly basis or as annual events. 

Monthly events

           Monthly social hour:

  Informal event for socialize and meet up for the members/families. usually social-hour have a theme named after a country which is     least represented in IRRI so that members get some insight into it.

  Monthly shopping trips

  Conducted every 2nd Saturday to Manila

  Short day trips (3 - 4x per year)

  Several short trip are organized for the members and families to tour around Philippines and experience the socio-cultural diversity.

  AFSTRI-Guided field tour

  Hiking with an experienced guide, is a good exercise to explore the surrounding with. Monthly hiking tour is organized on every first   Saturday of the month. Arrangements have already been made with Mt Makiling Botanical gardens to guided-field tours to Eagle point and muds springs with their guidance. 

UPCOMING ACTIVITY

We will be going to Philippine Rice Institute and Banaue Rice Terraces this coming August 18 - 21, 2023.
