Year-Long Option

AP Government and Politics is our year-long course that includes both AP US Government and Politics and AP Comparative Government and Politics. This format builds in time to learn and reinforce skills and content common between the two courses. It also allows for continuous review of both content and skills before the two AP exams in May (AP US Government and Politics and AP Comparative Government and Politics). This course meets our district's US Government requirement and our state's civics requirement.

Semester Option

AP US Government and Politics is a stand-alone semester class of just the AP US Government course and prepares students for only the AP US Government and Politics AP exam in May. If you only have room in your schedule for a semester-long course, this is the course for you. (Please keep in mind a student may have this course in their schedule either first semester or second semester. Students cannot choose the semester.) This course meets our district's US Government requirement and our state's civics requirement.
