WHAT IS SENIOR ADVISORY?
The purpose of this course is to help build leadership skills, and provide role models and mentors for our freshman students. Students will design lessons/activities, create connections with freshmen, and learn what it takes to be good leaders throughout this program.

*Due to the amount of interested students, students are accepted into this program through an application, teacher recommendations and interview. Look for announcements in December and January for the application process and deadlines.

Students will be assigned groups and will present lesson ideas to their classmates. All students are expected to participate equally. Lessons ideas will be graded on creativity, professionalism, and effectiveness of purpose.

Teacher Observations:
Your teachers will rotate through Advisory classrooms in order to observe Student Advisors in action. Student Advisors will be scored on their preparation, enthusiasm, and overall effectiveness and success of the lesson.

Lesson plans will be periodically collected to assess preparation of and reflection on daily lessons, activities, and group dynamics of your Advisory classroom.
