The Lakerbots participated in FIRST's COVID-19 Call to Action
as well as supported the communities Supporting our Health Care Heroes Effort
We printed 3D printed over 200 Mask extenders and Face Shields
and delivered them to a local assisted living community
Robots to the Rescue
In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic - The Lakerbots participated in the Robots to the Rescue Challenge. The Lakerbots teamed up with two other teams to design an alliance of robots that allow grocery's to be purchased from a grocery store and delivered to a vehicle in order to minimize exposure to COVID-19.
In recognition of this initial proof of concept idea, the Lakerbots were awarded the "Amazing Alliance" Award.
Mask Extenders Project
Student designed Custom 3D Printed Mask Extenders for stylish ear relief were available to order by students and teachers at the school during COVID-19 mask requirements.
