2023 Weekly Build Progress

1/7 - 1/14:  Team watched the season launch video and welcomed the Newfound Bearly Functioning robotics team to our day long meeting.  Lots of strategizing, brainstorming, discussion and rating of design concepts.  Business team worked on designing this year's team gear, and updating the website with sponsor info.  Started CAD design for selected design concepts. 

1/15 - 1/21Programming team met with Bearly Functioning via zoom to discuss command based programming and robot builder.  Lots of CAD work and remote practices due to snow days this week.  Started to manufacture parts and assemble drive train which was completed at the end of the week.  Code base was set up with basic commands for this years challenge.  


1/22 - 1/28: We began constructing our practice field. The mechanical team worked on the elevator. The programming team worked on intact, arm, and drive train code. Our scouting team began working on our scouting app. The business team worked on merch designs.

1/29 - 2/4: We finished putting together our practice field. The mechanical team continued working on the elevator while the electrical team began worked on some of the wiring of the robot. The business team finished merch designs which are available to order on our website. The design team worked on CAD models for the arm.

2/5 - 2/11: Our electrical team finished up some wiring while our assembly team finished assembling the chassis. Our coding subteam finished some coding and our robot officially drives. Our manufacturing and assembly team are currently working on our elevator and arm system. Our business team has finished merchandise designs as well as submitted the Woodie Flowers Award for our terrific mentor Mr. Derrick. 

2/12 - 2/18: Our assembly team constructed our arm and elevator mechanisms. The coding team worked on autonomous code as well as elevator code. We had some drive practice were we practiced scoring as well as finetuning some code. Our CAD subteam worked on designing wrist designs for our robot.

2/19 - 2/25: Our assembly team put together our wrist to complete out intake. We also finished our bumper design. Our coding team worked on autonomous and teleop code. We practice driving and scoring. We are gearing up for our first competion in Rhode Island on the 10th. 

2/26 - 3/4: We began prepping for our Rhode Island completion on the 10th. The Drive team practiced on our practice field while the awards team finished up the Impact video and practiced for the interview.  Lights were installed on the robot and programed to change color based on needed game pieces and when piece is fully collected into intake.  Bumpers were adjusted and mounted for a secure fit and team pins were made.
