By tracking your skills stage you will grow and meet your goals!
Student needs development on shading & degrade. There is a poor or non evidence of shading & degrade. Attempts of coverage were done with much difficulty, pencil or shading media shows strong lineal or circular traces applied with uneven pressure, shading attempts show lack of uniformity. Clearly the skill is missing or a the beginner stage. Reinforcement practice is suggested. Shading applying different pressure to acquire different values, upon this, artist should start unifying the values in order to discover and practice implementation of degrade to initial shading practice.
Student approaches expectations on shading & degrade. Shading needs reinforcement in the elliptical movement and the discovery of the pressure to be applied to obtain the desired values. Degrade will improve once the pressure for values is acquired and it could be gradually applied. Contrast, volume, emphasis and texture will be reached with further practice after shading and degrade has been achieved.
Student meets expectations on shading & degrade. Shading includes degrade that generates a sense of depth, contrast which generates character and movement. Application of shading layers. Application of shading layers and methods well done. Degradation well accomplished.
Student exceeds expectations on shading & degrade. Evidence of shading and degrade include: texture, contrast, sense of depth, volume, etc. for components in the art to communicate the artist's idea or topic. Elliptical movement, application of pressure and degrade were done smoothly obtaining a very aesthetic pleasing to the eye work of art.
