Student needs development in shading & degrade. There is no degradation or elliptical movement or any trace of shading. Suggested shading support or reinforcement in order to activate the skill. 

Student approaches expectations on shading & degrade. Degradation shows still room for improvement in uniformity and stability of the trace on the decreasing flow. Elliptical movement used in the degrade shows inaccurate balance of the hand leaving traces of the pencil lines instead of a smokey finishing.
