Tēnā Koutou Katoa,

Just a quick note to remind everyone we start back on Tuesday 1 February at our usual starting time of 8.55am. We are so very excited to see all your gorgeous tamariki.

We have been busy over the past week organising, planning and making sure we are ready to see everyone's happy faces.

While this is not the start to 2022 we all had hoped for, we have excellent systems in place to ensure everyone stays safe while on the school grounds under the RED setting of the Covid Protection Framework. We are expecting specific information from the Ministry of Education around the Red Setting and requirements for primary schools this week. Further updates and information on the exact protocols of the Red Setting will be emailed to you once we have this information (including requirements for mask wearing). In the meantime, some safety practices will remain the same. It will be important that all parents and whanau sign in on our QRCode, wear a mask and social distance as best you can when entering the school site.

We have a number of new whānau joining us at Ilam School, we are so happy you have chosen to join us.

You may notice some new faces in the office, Marg Kitney who is our Librarian is stepping into Renata's role as our Receptionist for the first few weeks of term and Jocelyn Hollis, who you are likely to have met will be in the office full time this year as our Executive Assistant.

We are really looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.
