He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - Warm greetings to you all
We have had a wonderful start to the term with the whole school taking part in swimming lessons at Kings Swim School and all classes completing calendar art. The Calendar Art is one of our most successful fundraisers that we do with the PTA. The art looks amazing, we have such talented students and teachers. Thank you again, to our PTA for ensuring we get amazing resources our tamariki can use while undertaking their learning. It is greatly appreciated. Keep an eye out in the Ilam Updates and Class newsletters in the coming weeks with information telling you how to order the Art Calendars. We would hate for you to miss out!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Student Learning Conferences last week. They are an important part of our home-school partnership. When we work together we can achieve great things for our tamariki. While we have three main teacher/parent conferences over the year you are always welcome to talk to your child’s teacher about progress or their needs at any time. You can do this via email or kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face) to arrange a time that suits you both.
Finally a big congratulations to Kayla and Chris Gaut who are expecting a baby. They are excited about the new addition to complete their family. Kayla plans to carry on teaching until the middle of Term 4. The school will appoint a teacher during Term 4 to teach Room 20 for the remainder of the year.
Ngā mihi nui

The PTA would love to receive donations of second-hand uniforms. If your child has outgrown their uniform or they're moving on from Ilam School, please consider donating their uniform to the second-hand uniform collection. The PTA holds second-hand uniform sales multiple times a year and all money raised from these sales is used to directly benefit our children.
