Debriefing Microaggressions & Microassaults

Please take about 25 minutes in your break out rooms. Begin by asking each person to share the quick write they completed during the pre-work. Once everyone has had a chance to share, work to come to a shared understanding of microaggression and microassault.

Then, please discuss the following question:

  • What type of microaggressions might you have inflicted on others as an educator, namely on students and families you have interacted with during your career?

Please be prepared to have someone from your group share your group’s understanding of the terms microaggression and microassault during our whole group discussion.
