Our school was founded in 1972 as a public secondary school. Currently, our staff is made up by 65 teachers and 15 administration and service members. As a bilingual school, we offer middle and upper secondary educantion (around 700 students), as well as vocational studies (administration and marketing, around 150 students), with some subjects taught in English, and adults education (around 200 students). As public center, our organisation is funded by the Consejería de Desarrollo Educativo y Formación Profesional of the regional government of Andalucía.
The school is situated in Puerto Real, in the southwest of Spain, near Cádiz. It is located in the suburbs of the village and the population has an under average level of living. Most of our students come from working class. We have some students with specific educational needs. We have good communications to Cádiz (the capital) by train, bus and car. There is a group of teachers who have been working in our school for a long time. We pay special attention to students with learning disabilities.

Cooperation of schools from different countries will help us to upgrade the methods that have been used in our school and to learn other methods that have been used successfully by our partners. The students in Manuel de Falla are very interested in a wide range of subjects, such as Science, Maths, History, foreign languages or ICT.
Since 1990 different teachers have been participating in european education programs. Therefore, we have a large experience both as a partner and coordinator in different projects. Our teachers are specially concerned in the current challenges that has to be faced in the following years, related to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. In fact, some of our teachers are currently involved in programs such as Aldea, STEAM or TDE.
