HÖV Alemdağ Tunç Çapa Anadolu Lisesi is in Alemdağ, a district of Çekmeköy which is located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Our school has 24 classrooms, 50 teachers and 950 students. Students take courses such as English, German, Social Sciences, Science and Mathematics. As mentioned in the mission of our school, our school’s aim is to change the perspective of our students to life, to bring down old ideas that are common and wrong, to raise individuals who can synthesize contemporary, past and future, produce new ideas and to apply the ideas they produce in their lives. For this reason, we are ready to motivate our students to learn in a happy and peaceful environment with the staff of teachers who can renew themselves and pursue innovations. Comenius and Erasmus+ projects have been implemented and followed in our institution since 2013. As a result of these projects, teachers and our students gained information about the education systems, cultures, experiences and teaching methods of different countries. Especially the perspective and vision of our students' world has developed and changed a lot. Our teachers are willing to take our country and our education system to the European dimension and take good examples and apply. We are open to innovation and learning, trying to follow technology closely, willing to learn new strategy and methodology.
As a school we are willing to embed learning for environmental sustainability across our institution. This project will create opportunities for living and learning sustainability across the education environment. This will encourage our partnership with international groups of students in real-life experiences and actions for sustainability. The Erasmus+ Projects in our school have been coordinated by our English teachers Fatma Karagözlü and Emine Uludağ.
