Where and when was it invented?

The game pickleball was invented in one summer of 1965 in the island of Bainbridge,Washington. In the house of Joel Pritchard. 

McCallum made the first racket in his house. One of his rackets was called M2. This racket is one of the favorites of the players that was made of wood. His son has the headquarters business. Pickleball growed up in the 1970's.


Popularity and competitions.

Nowadays, pickleball is becoming more and more popular. There are currently about 8,500 locations on the 2Play Pickleball Places map in the US. The spread of this sport is due to its popularity in community centers, gyms, YMCA facilities and retirement communities. The sport has also continued to grow worldwide with the formation of many new international clubs and national governing bodies and is now established on several continents.

Pickleball is mainly played in: USA, Canada, Philippines, Mexico, Czech Republic and even Spain, it is not very popular but more than 1000 people play it.

Gameplay:

Pickleball is played on a track very similar to the one we found to play tennis or paddle tennis. It's composed of end lines, sidelines, non-volley lines, non-volley zone, center line, and service box. The dimension of the track is 6.10 m wide by 13.41 long. All you need to play is a court, a grid, rackets, paddles and a ball.
