Flag Football
Origin
Flag Football is believed to have begun in the U.S. military during World War II. The game was started for military personnel to play without getting injured during wartime. It is believed that the history of flag football was first recorded at Fort Meade, Maryland.

Creation
It was created in the United States. Today this sport can be played in Canada, Mexico, Japon or Brazil.
Europe
This sport is widespread in Germany, but it's not very important there. Principally it's played in the US.
Definition
Flag football is a version of American football played without the American football characteristic contact between players. In flag football tackling is not allowed, instead flags are attached to the ball carrier's belt, one on each side of the waist.
When a player manages to pull the flag from an opponent, the game stops and another play begins, just like when there is a tackle or a down in American football. The rules are almost the same, the only difference is that the physical contact is limited.
Object
It's played with teams of five players, although there may be two players more who will be replaced. Also it's possible to have a team of 4 players because one of them can be injured . The team with the most points at the end of regulation time is the winner.
Playing Area
The playing field is a rectangle usually around 60-80 yards long and 20-30 yards wide. There is a goal line at each end of the field leading into a 10-yard end zone.

The play begins behind the Center.

Center

Flag Football has evolved in Spain, today we have territorial leagues and we have even participated in the world championship of this sport.
At first it started in Catalonia, but a few years later teams formed in Asturias and the Canary Islands.
Many communities in Spain started participating in this sport.
The Extremaduran Flag is the last one that has reached the national scene. Although, Cáceres Corzos previously existed.
