It will explain some checkmate patterns like Back rank mate, Anastasia’s mate and Smothered mate. At the end it will do a Masnao tournament.
During the session, we will explain the pieces value in chess, which trades are correct and how to have a better defense against opponent attack. After that, there will be a practical session in which students will be encouraged
During class I will explain the Italian opening, where will be exposed the importance of development, castling and activity in the center. Additionally the students will play a thematic tournament about this one.
The students will learn and do exercises about two special and important moves: castling and en passant. Also they will understand different options protecting the king. They will play chess at the end of the class.
During this first class the students learned the movement of the pieces and their importance in chess, Also they learned the fastest games in chess. Finally they played games and did exercises.
During the last session, we will strengthen the topics of the week through checkmate maneuvers in the endgame: King and two rooks vs. King, along with other mate patterns, and it will conclude with games.
We will explain the phases of the game:
- Opening
- Middlegame
- Endgame
Focusing the three golden rules of the opening, which are control of the center, piece development, and king safety. During the session, we will explain special moves in chess (castling, en passant capture, and promotion), followed by the practical part.
During the session, we will explain the types of moves in chess, especially attacking and defensive moves, through positions and analysis of games. After that, there will be a practical session in which students will be encouraged.
The students will learn checkmate pattern and solve checkmate in one and practice playing chess.
Today, they had learned about check, checkmate and stalemate. In the last part they were playing chess.
