For the last day of camp, the students were introduced to The Gospel through the wordless bracelet (movements based). The students understood Superhero Salvation in an active way through “The Salvation Signal,” Superhero obstacle course, Color Tag, and Gospel Freeze Dance.
To conclude our camp, we read the story about Jesus’ death and resurrection to understand why Jesus is like a superhero and why he is so special. Children went home with their own superhero outfit and hope that they can be reminded of who their hero is and how they can live like Jesus to be a hero.
Building on our two previous story-based lessons about the Chinese idiom '狐假虎威' , today's class invited our children to bring this fable to life. Each child took on a different character role, recreating the classic tale through their own words in a mini play. It allowed students to practice and develop their Mandarin speaking skills in an engaging format, while also helping them grasp the essence of the idiom more clearly.The ten-day summer camp has come to an end. We hope the children not only improved their Mandarin skills through their learning, but also developed a love for studying the language.
Today we reviewed the armor of God and the different pieces of armor to shield ourselves from of the lies of the enemy and keep God’s truth in us. We played a variety of team-building games.
Jesus is our hero! He has the power to heal! The children learned the story of Bartimaeus. They learned to have faith and persevere through hardship. For crafts, the children made a doctor’s kit and had a chance to pretend to take care of others by using the tools in the doctor’s kit.
In today's class, we sang the Weather Song 、Seasons Song, and Tang Dynasty poetry. We continued our study of the idiom story "画蛇添足" We gained a much clearer understanding of the story itself and explored its deeper meaning. Students then practiced applying this idiom to real-life situations through classroom activities.
Students will learn that the "Sword of the Spirit" (God’s Word) is their superpower against lies and fear. They will practice superhero-themed movement and coordination games through a laser sword obstacle course to reinforce the lesson of dodging and slicing “ paper balls” (lies) and collecting “ yellow bean bags” (the truth) about the Word of God.
Today we learned about Jesus’ power over death by looking into the story of Jesus raised Lazarus from death. We learned that Jesus has the power over death and when we believe in him we can have hope of living with him in heaven forever. We made a Lazarus craft to help us to retell this story.

Within this segment, the primary objectives were for students to grasp the general narrative of the idiom and to engage in targeted vocabulary acquisition, with particular emphasis placed on key verbs and adjectives from the story.
Today we learned about the boots of peace. All warriors have to be prepared to run, because they never know when battle will hit. We always need to have on the Boots of Peace so we can have peace in our hearts and be prepared to share the Good News with anyone who needs to hear it. We went through an obstacle course like warriors with boots of peace.
Today, we learned about Jesus’ power to provide through the story of Jesus feeding 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fishes, we learned about God’s provision, his ability to do the impossible and the importance of sharing and trusting in God. We used light weight clay to make our 5 loaves and 2 fishes in our basket.

Students enhanced their gross motor skills through ball activities while teaching the importance of not giving up and using the Shield of Faith, another part in the Armor of God series, to help them persevere.
This week we are going to focus on Jesus’ powers as our hero through the miracles he did. Today, we learned about Jesus’ power to save through the lost sheep and good shepherd parable. And we made a sheep picture.

Today we learned about the helmet of salvation. The Helmet of Salvation protects us from thinking ungodly thoughts. It helps us be proactive in fighting Satan. We played tag games that illustrated catching godly thoughts while staying away from temptations.
Moses and the burning bush story taught us that when we face fear, with Jesus as our hero, we won’t face them alone or in our own power yet consider how small our fear is compared to the faith God had given us. We made a burning bush craft.

Today we learned from the story of Abraham’s call the importance of hearing and obeying God so that we learn to trust and obey. We made a compass necklace to remind us to follow God and He will guide our way.

Today we learned about the breastplate of righteousness in the armor of God. The Breastplate of Righteousness protects our hearts. It is striving to keep sins out of our hearts. We played a modified version of dodgeball to illustrate how we need to protect our hearts from harm.
Today we learned from the story of Queen Esther by how she has faith and expects the best of ourselves, God and from others. We all made a crown today to remind ourselves to stay faithful like Queen Esther.

Welcome to ICS Summer Fun Camp 2025. The theme of Hero was introduced, and the superpowers that heroes have and Jesus as our hero. We went through the rules and played games to get to know one another. We also played a relay game and pretended to be our favorite superhero.
