A secured credit card is a credit card that can be availed against a fixed deposit with the bank. You do not need a credit history or income proof to apply for a secured card.
The card also helps you:
1. Earn interest on the fixed deposit while you spend on the card
2. Build your credit score
3. Get discounts on top brand vouchers on ZET store
Can I use the SBM ZET FD Credit Card for UPI payments?
Yes. Since the SBM ZET Credit Card is offered on the RuPay network, you can link the card to UPI Apps to make payments.

Card Eligibility
Who can apply for the SBM ZET Credit Card?
Any Indian citizen above 18 years of age who is not a resident of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, J&K, Ladakh, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland or Sikkim can apply for SBM ZET Credit Card. Customers need to be a tax paying resident of India.
I do not have any prior loan or a credit card. Can I apply for this card?
Yes. This will help you build your credit score for your future credit requirements as well.
Applying for the card
What documents do I need to apply for the card?
You need to have the following documents with you:
■ PAN number
■ Aadhaar number
■ Bank account details
■ PAN card original [for Video KYC]
What are the steps involved in applying for the card?
To apply for the card, you would need to do the following:
● verifying your mobile & Email
● Verifying your PAN & Aadhaar
● Fill in a few personal details & employment details
● Make a payment for your FD
● Complete your Video KYC
Your application will be processed within 24-48 hours and your virtual card will be available instantly once your application is approved successfully.
I am not able to verify my Aadhaar as it is not linked to any mobile number?
To complete Aadhaar verification, it is required that your Aadhaar is linked to your mobile. You can visit your nearest Aadhaar Permanent Enrolment centre to get your mobile linked.
How can I make a payment for the fixed deposits?
During the application process, you will be able to make your FD payment using UPI and Netbanking by choosing any of the linked bank accounts.
Point to note
You need to ensure that the bank account used to make payment is in your name
For making FD Payment using UPI: Entered account details should be listed as primary account / default account in UPI app.
Do I have to make payment for the fixed deposit before my card application is approved?
Yes. Making a payment for a fixed deposit is part of the application process and this would help us issue your card instantly once the application is approved. Please note that your FD account will be opened & start earning interest only after the application is approved successfully and in case of rejection, the FD amount will be refunded back to your bank account within 7 days without any interest
Can I use my existing Fixed Deposit to apply for the card?
No, you must open a new FD with SBM Bank to apply for the card. The FD amount should be between INR 5,000 and INR 1 Lakh, in multiples of INR 1,000.
What do I need to complete my Video KYC?
You can complete your Video KYC in less than 2 minutes if you can ensure:
You have your original PAN card
You have a blank white paper and a pen
Your internet connection is strong
You should ensure there is no other person visible in the camera or assisting you during the process
Your surroundings should be well-lit
How much time do I have to complete my Video KYC?
As per RBI guidelines, you would need to complete your Video KYC within 72 hours from the time you completed your Aadhaar verification. Video KYC can be done anytime between 10 AM & 9 PM on all days.
I could not complete my Video KYC within 72 hours. What should I do?
In case you are unable to complete it within 72 hours, you would be requested to perform your Aadhaar verification again before proceeding with Video KYC. Alternatively, if we don’t hear from you, Payment collected will be reversed to the account within 7 days.
How soon can I get my card once my application is completed?
Once you complete your application, the bank takes around 24-48 hours to approve your application. Once your application is approved successfully, you will instantly receive your virtual card on the ZET App which you can activate and use to start making payments. Your physical card will be delivered to your communication address within 7-10 working days.
My application got rejected. How will I get my FD amount back?
You will receive a refund of your FD amount back to your bank account linked with your UPI ID with which you made the payment within 7 working days.
Can I apply again if my application is rejected?
If your application was not approved due to Video KYC rejection, you can perform Video KYC again to complete your application for approval.
I have an issue with my card application, what can I do?
In case of any issues with the SBM ZET Credit Card, you can reach out to ZET support or SBM support using the ‘Help’ option in the ZET App.
Card related queries
How do I activate my card?
To activate your virtual card, click on the Manage Card section and complete the activation using OTP authentication. You will receive the physical card within 10 working days, which can be activated using the QR on the welcome kit
I have lost the activation code that came with the Welcome kit, how do I activate my card?
Nothing to worry, if you do not have the code, you will be given an option to activate this via OTP once you confirm that the physical card is in your possession.
I have a virtual card, how do I see the card details?
You can see the details of your Virtual card number, expiry date and CVV on the SBM ZET Credit Card app by selecting ‘Manage Card’ >> ’‘View card’ >> ‘Tap to view Card Details’.
How can I set the PIN for my card?
You can set your card PIN on the ZET app by selecting ‘Manage Card’ >> ‘View card’ >> ‘Change PIN’ with an OTP confirmation
I forgot my card PIN, what can I do?
Nothing to worry, you can reset your card PIN on the ZET App under Card Section by selecting View card’ >> ‘Change PIN’ with an OTP confirmation
Where can I check my total spends and transactions on the card?
You can see the current outstanding dues on the card on the card Section. You can also track your transactions by selecting ‘Manage Card’ >> ‘Statements’ >> ‘Download Statement’.
How do I pay the credit card bills?
You can track your credit card spends on the ZET app. You will also be notified when the bill is generated. You can make a payment towards your credit card bill any time by selecting the ‘Pay’ option on the card image on the SBM ZET FD Card page. You can choose the amount to pay and make your payment through UPI/Net Banking using any of your linked bank accounts.
Can I increase my credit limit?
You can increase the credit limit of your card by doing a top-up on the ZET app. Your credit limit will be automatically adjusted to be 90% of the total FD amount.
How do I track refunds of transactions done with the SBM ZET Card?
ZET app provides transaction details within the app, showing all your purchases as well as refund details on the ‘SBM ZET Card’ page by selecting ‘Statements’ & ‘Download statement’
Can I use this card for international transactions?
Yes, you can use the card for international transactions at merchants that are part of the international networks supported by the card. Please ensure that the transaction controls for International transactions are enabled from your ZET App.
Can I withdraw cash from an ATM using this card?
Yes, you can withdraw cash from any ATM using the SBM ZET Credit Card at a charge of 2.5% of the amount withdrawn with a minimum charge of ₹250.
Can I convert my bills to EMI?
No. The SBM ZET Credit Card does not support conversion of bills to EMI. As and when the facility is available, we will notify you.
Can I use the SBM ZET Card to transfer funds to another person using UPI?
No, only payments to merchants will be allowed using the SBM ZET Credit Card.
How can I cancel my card?
You can cancel your card from the ZET app. You will be required to pay your pending dues before you can cancel the card. Once the card is cancelled, your Fixed deposits linked with the card will also be closed with a pre-closure charge of 1% of total earned interest+499+18% GST and rest of the amount will be refunded to the bank account to the bank account shared by you within 7-10 Working days.
What should I do if I suspect fraudulent activity on my SBM ZET Credit Card?
On suspicion of fraud, you should immediately block your card temporarily on ZET App by selecting ‘Manage Card’ >> ‘View card’ >> ‘Block card’ >> ‘Temporary block’. This will temporarily block all transactions on your card. You can unblock your card anytime using the same steps once your issue is resolved. You can then reach out to ZET customer support using the ‘Help’ option in the App to get your issue resolved. You can also reach out directly to SBM customer support and lodge your complaint.
I lost my card. What can I do now?
In case of losing the card, you should immediately block your card temporarily on ZET App by selecting ‘Manage Card’ >> ‘View card’ >> ‘Block card’ >> ‘Temporary block’. This will temporarily block all transactions on your card. You can unblock your card anytime using the same steps once your issue is resolved. If you are unable to find your card, you can permanently block your card and get a replacement card by paying a fee of ₹249+GST
