Heddlu Bach

Croeso

We are the Heddlu Bach team otherwise known as 'The SAPS mini police team'
Our job is to serve and protect  our school community.

Our team consists of one pupil from each class in KS2

Autumn 2023 Action Plan

At the beginning and end of the school day can be extremely busy. So please drive carefully when travelling down Jenkins Street as there are lots of pedestrians entering and exiting this street.
When parking please remember to park in the safe zone areas.
We have placed road safety signs at the entrance of both sites to remind you not to park on the double yellow and zig zag lines.

This term our Heddlu Bach team have decided to continue to police the buses by collecting any items left on the buses by our learners. This has been a real success so far.

You will notice out team as we will be wearing our Heddlu Bach fluorescent jackets.

We have created our own Heddlu Bach certificates whilst developing their digital skills.

These certificates are awarded at the end of the week to one pupil from each of the KS2 classes.  The learner is chosen for being an excellent role model or citizen in St Andrew's.

Heddlu Bach award class dojo's for helping others in their class and for being good role models.

This term we have been very fortunate to have met with Alex Donne our Nxt Gen Community Police Officer.
We have been working through our Heddlu Bach programme  by looking at who are Police and Crime Commissioner is, Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Crime  scenes and R0ad policing Operation Teams.

Two representatives from our Heddlu Bach team took part in our Remembrance Service at the Connect. They both showed considerable respect and empathy to those who had died in the war.

We have recently joined The Smart Water Campaign to prevent crime in schools by marking our digital devices with security liquid. Criminal Beware!

Spring 2023 Action Plan

This term we created a Heddlu Bach video which was played during a REACH assembly. Our video was to tell all the learners at St Andrew's what our role is and what we have taken part in so far this year.

Litter picking is one of the ways in which we can look after our school community. We will also be working with our local community to help tidy our streets.

Summer 2023 Action Plan

We are looking at parking outside the Connect Building. We have noticed that lots of people are parking on the cycle walk way. So we have decided as a team to create posters to encourage people not to park on the path. If this does continue we are going to issue parking notices and place them on their cars.

This term we have working alongside the FaCE team on a Thursday after school in the Share Shack. It is lovely to see so many of our families taking part in this event.

We have been working in our local community to carry out a litter picking activity. We collected lots of different waste materials and recycled them. This  has helped us to improve the environment around our school.
